These are examples of jewelry customizer setups you can build with Podifai. If a matching template is available in your dashboard, apply it directly. Otherwise, use these as a guide to build your own. See How to Use a Podifai Template. The videos below show example builds of each setup.

Personalized Wedding Ring

A wedding ring engraving customizer might include:

• Text Input for the engraving message (with character limit)
• Font Swatch for the engraving typeface
• Live Preview showing the engraved band
• Conditional Logic so the engraving text and font only show when "Add engraving?" is Yes

For a name or message, use a regular font choice. For a two-letter or three-letter monogram, configure Monogram mode and match the Text Input character limit to that layout. Test the longest allowed text against the ring's engraving area.

Charm Necklace

A charm necklace customizer might include:

• Charm Builder using Image Swatch for visual charm selection
• Multiple selection so customers can choose several different charms in one customizer
• Dynamic Pricing so each selected charm can add its own price
• Linked variant inventory when each charm needs separate Shopify stock

Example: Optional Paid Ring Engraving

This setup keeps the ring itself in Shopify and adds an optional engraving service in Podifai. Choose a text limit and fonts that your engraver can reproduce; the preview is a visual reference.

1. Keep ring size and stocked metal choices as Shopify variants. Open the ring's customizer in Podifai.
2. Add a single-select Badge Group labelled "Add engraving?" with "No" and "Yes". Set "No" as the default and apply your engraving fee only to "Yes".
3. Add Text Input for "Engraving text". Set its character limit for this ring and make it required when shown. Use Conditional Logic to show it when "Yes" is selected.
4. Add Font Swatch if customers may choose lettering. Link it to the text, and apply the same "Yes" visibility condition. Use a regular font for a message; enable monogram mode only for the appropriate initials layout.
5. Enable Live Preview for the engraving text, choose the ring background, and position the text in the engraving area. Save the customizer and enable it on the storefront.
6. Test both paths: "No" should allow purchase without the engraving fields or fee; "Yes" should show the fields and configured charge. Enter short and maximum-length text, then switch back to "No" and check the cart for the current choice.
7. Place a test order with "Yes". Confirm the ring variant, engraving text, font choice, and fee in order details. Give the saved text and a checked production reference to the engraver.

For laser or machine engraving, confirm the required production format with your equipment or supplier. Podifai's transparent PNG output is not a vector toolpath or a guarantee of engraving fit.

Customizing Templates

After applying a template, review labels, values, pricing, and preview placement for the target product. For linked products, edit the template when all products should receive the change. Choose Copy when each product needs independent adjustments, such as a different engraving position or text size.

Keep stocked ring sizes and metal types in Shopify variants. Follow the verification checklist to check the storefront, charges, and saved engraving text. For charm necklaces, also test minimum and maximum selections and any linked charm inventory.
