Sporting Goods

These are examples of sporting goods customizer setups. If a matching template is available in your dashboard, apply it directly. Otherwise, use these as a guide to build your own. See How to Use a Podifai Template. The videos below show example builds of each setup.

Use the color options below for made-to-order personalization. If a color or model identifies a stocked item with its own SKU, inventory, or base price, keep it in Shopify variants. See Shopify Variants vs Podifai Options.

Custom Pickleball Paddle

A pickleball paddle customizer might include:

• Color Swatch for paddle face color
• Color Swatch for edge guard color
• Color Swatch for handle color
• Badge Group for "Add text?" (Yes / No)
• Text Input for paddle name (shown when Add text = Yes)
• Conditional Logic to reveal text input only after Yes
• Live Preview for paddle face mockup

To visualize face, edge guard, or handle colors, assign a prepared Preview Image to each Color Swatch value and position the related layer on the paddle. For the name, link a Color Swatch to the Text Input if shoppers should choose its text color. See Color Swatch for the two setup methods.

Custom Bike

A bike customizer might include:

• Color Swatch for seat color
• Color Swatch for frame color
• Color Swatch for rim color
• Live Preview for the assembled bike

Prepare separate preview artwork for each customizable bike part and keep the layer positions aligned with the shared bike background. A color selection uses its configured preview artwork; it does not generate a new product photo. If a seat or wheel choice represents a stocked add-on, review variant linking for add-ons for inventory or pricing, separately from the base bike variant.

Check the Sporting Goods Setup

• Change each part's color independently and check that the artwork remains aligned with the product.
• For the paddle, choose Add text = Yes, enter a name, then switch to No and back to Yes. Check the field, preview, and submitted customization for each choice.
• Test short and maximum-length names and any configured text charge.
• If using Shopify variants or linked add-ons, check the selected base variant and the relevant stock and pricing separately.
