Cloudlift Live Product Options and Podifai both let customers preview personalization on a product image. Choosing between them starts with the whole order: how the price is calculated, which file production needs, and which plan covers your volume.
Feature availability depends on the plan and setup. See the pricing and workflow comparison below.

Monthly USD prices are taken from the App Store and Cloudlift’s own pricing page. The vendor page includes an Unlimited tier and separate extensions. This comparison is published by Podifai and is based on documentation, not a timed implementation benchmark.
| Criteria | Live Product Options | Podifai |
|---|---|---|
| Plans and allowances | Startup $9/month (100 orders), Basic $19 (200), Pro $29 (300), Unlimited $49 (unlimited orders). Build is free while building the store. Quantity, Formula, Export, Bundle and AI extensions each add $9/month. | Published plans: Free for 3 custom products; Starter is $7.90/month for 30 products; Growth is $15.90/month for unlimited products. No transaction fee in these published plans. |
| Product preview | Layered text and image-upload preview on the product page. | Text and customer images on a layered 2D preview, with one to five views and inline or popup display. |
| Pricing rules | Option add-ons, with separately billed Formula and Quantity extensions for advanced calculations and volume pricing. | Fixed or percentage increases/decreases and linked Shopify variant prices. Percentages use the same effective base price, without compounding. General dimension formulas and quantity-tier pricing are not supported by the current documentation. |
| Production output | The paid Export extension lists PDF, SVG, PNG and JPEG output. Confirm the required file content and format. | When enabled (off by default), orders generate flattened RGB transparent PNGs for views containing supported text or customer uploads. Product backgrounds and Image Swatch artwork are excluded; longest side up to 3600 pixels at 300 DPI. Vector and editable-layer export are not documented. |
| How to evaluate fit | Build the configuration with every required extension enabled and inspect its resulting order and export. | Build the same product, inspect the generated PNG and compare the order, preview, add-on charges and artwork with your production requirements. |

ALEX is the shared input. The tested Cloudlift template was configured for a name, while Podifai also displays 23.
Both previews show AB. Pendant shapes, fonts and letter layouts differ.

A and B entered separately; the gold round pendant displays AB. The selected 45 cm chain option carries an additional charge.

AB appears on the gold heart pendant in Roboto. The pendant shape and lettering differ from the Podifai example.

These screenshots document storefront configuration and previews. They do not establish checkout, production-file quality, merchant setup effort or every mobile interaction. A template that retains its original product photo does not establish that the app lacks preview support elsewhere.
The criteria include competitors’ operational capabilities as well as Podifai’s visual features. Plan restrictions and workflow differences stay in the cells. “Not established” means the sources checked do not settle that requirement; it does not mean the app cannot do it. This is an official-source review, not an independent test of every capability. Product-specific review dates appear with the plans below.

These are illustrative buying scenarios, not customer case studies or measured results. The recommendation follows the documented capabilities above.
Requirement: The shopper enters width and height, uploads a photo and needs a price calculated from area.
How the apps fit: Cloudlift’s formula and export extensions deserve the first test. Podifai fits a preset-size version using fixed adjustments, but an arbitrary dimension calculator is not established in its docs.
Test before choosing: Test minimum/maximum dimensions, rounding, quantity changes and the resulting artwork at the required physical size.
Requirement: Shoppers choose text or upload a photo, inspect the result and order supported artwork.
How the apps fit: Podifai is worth testing when its 2D preview, supported option rules and transparent PNG fit the product. A formula-priced, POS-dependent or vector-cutting workflow may favor another app.
Test before choosing: Use a long name and a low-resolution upload, change the variant, place an order and inspect the PNG in production software. Confirm the full-canvas dimensions and that all required customized elements reach the production file.
Published monthly USD prices; Shopify recurring charges generally run every 30 days. Annual discounts, taxes and separately contracted services are excluded. Examples state their assumptions and are not promises of an equivalent feature set at a lower price.
Sources checked October 7, 2026.
Budget example: For 100 orders/month with Formula and Export: $9 + $9 + $9 = $27/month. This is an illustrative subscription calculation, not a claim that Podifai provides the same formula or vector-export workflow.
Check current plansSources checked October 7, 2026.
Budget example: 20 custom products fit Starter at $7.90/month; 100 need Growth at $15.90/month. These prices only help if the supported inputs, preview and production output meet the requirement.
Check current plansPodifai’s production-file boundaries matter as much as its subscription price.
Plan a manual rebuild of one representative product first; this is a compatibility checklist, not a tested importer. Keep the existing setup available until the replacement passes a test order. Recreate labels, required fields, defaults and dependencies, then check mobile preview, paid choices, cart quantities and fulfillment data.
| Workflow | Migration status | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Preview layers and fonts | Rebuild | Start with the original product images and licensed fonts. Recreate placement and text limits for each view; do not assume the old layer coordinates can be imported. |
| Formula and quantity rules | Manual | List each calculation and expected result. Map fixed charges where appropriate; retain the existing workflow if its formulas have no tested replacement. |
| Export-dependent production | Manual | Produce an actual order PNG and have the production team approve it. A requirement for SVG paths or editable files is not satisfied by a visually similar preview. |

Its Build plan is described as free while building your store. Budget for a selling-store plan and any required extensions; do not treat the Build offer as a permanent unlimited selling plan.
No. Cloudlift prices Quantity, Formula, Export, Bundle and AI separately. Use the vendor’s current plan table when estimating the complete subscription.
When enabled (off by default), orders generate flattened RGB transparent PNGs for views containing supported text or customer uploads. Product backgrounds and Image Swatch artwork are excluded; longest side up to 3600 pixels at 300 DPI. Vector and editable-layer export are not documented. Files preserve the full view canvas and are downloaded as an order ZIP from Podifai or Shopify Admin. Views without included text or uploads have no PNG. Validate the physical print size; a PNG does not establish vector cutting paths or automated POD fulfillment.
No automatic Cloudlift importer is documented in Podifai. Plan to rebuild supported options and preview layers. Preserve existing orders and downloads, then switch only after the replacement produces correct prices, customer choices and production files.

Method: this page maps published competitor capabilities to Podifai's current supported workflow. It does not present setup time, page speed, reliability, or migration effort as a measured benchmark unless a section explicitly describes the test and its conditions. Quoted reviews, when present, are selected qualitative examples rather than a representative satisfaction sample; use the linked live archive to review the full rating distribution and current context.
